Reggie Witherspoon

After already snatching up CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Coach of the Year award on Monday, Bulls' head coach Reggie Witherspoon grabbed another prestigious title on Wednesday.

Witherspoon was named the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year for 2003-04 after bringing UB to a 17-11 (11-7 MAC) record thus far. The 12-game turnaround from last season's 5-23 debacle is the second-best improvement among any Division I school in 2003-04.

Turner Battle

UB men's basketball's star point guard, Turner Battle, was named to the All-MAC Second Team for his play in 2003-04 on Wednesday.

Battle, who has previously been named MAC-All Freshman and All-MAC Honorable Mention, earned his title this year by posting numbers of 14.2 points per game, 4.1 assists per game and 1.8 steals per game for the resurgent Buffalo squad.
