Wrestling

Over the weekend at the Mid-American Conference Championships, three Buffalo Bulls qualified to be sent to the NCAA Championships to be held on March 18 to 20.

Mark McKnight, Ed Pawlak and Kyle Cerminara all won individual titles in their respective weight classes, earning the trip to the championships later this month.

The Bulls placed fourth overall out of six teams, with Central Michigan finishing first.

A complete story will be in Wednesday's edition of The Spectrum.

Baseball

The UB baseball team (1-6) went 1-2 in a three-game set with the Maryland Terrapins this past weekend.

Buffalo dropped the opening doubleheader on Friday, losing the first game 6-1 and the second 13-2.

UB was able to rebound on Saturday by blanking the Terps 6-0, behind Sean McWilliams complete game shut out.

Maryland and UB also played a game on Sunday, but the results were not up as of press time.

Softball

The Buffalo Bulls' softball team competed against the 20th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils and New Mexico State Aggies this past weekend in the Arizona State Triangular and came away with a 3-3 split.

Buffalo was able to take all three games from New Mexico State, but were hammered by the national powerhouse Sun Devils by a combined score of 24-0.

UB now stands at 6-8 on the season.
