MAC Standings
Buffalo's 75-66 victory over the Chippewas on Saturday afternoon kept them in a three-way tie for third place in the Mid-American Conference East Division with a record of 6-7. Both Marshall and Ohio have 6-7 MAC records, as does Bowling Green in the West. Ball State has a 7-6 conference record while holding third place in the MAC West.
UB will have a shot to knock Ohio down when they play them in the second-to-last game of the season in Alumni Arena. They do not play any of the other 6-7/7-6 teams the rest of the way, meaning the Bulls will need some help to secure a home playoff game.
Track
The Buffalo Bulls took part in the University division of this past weekend's Fourth Annual New Balance Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City, N.Y. In the invitational, which had some of the premier track and field teams in the nation, the teams were split into the University and Championship divisions.
The men's team placed fifth, while the women's team did a little better, finishing in third place. Essex County College took first place in the women's division with 96 points (UB had 45.50), and St. Augustine's College had 74.50 to win the men's division. The Bulls had 32.50 in their fifth-place performance.
UB will be in Kent State, Ohio next weekend to finish off the remainder of their regular season.
