Last week, it came to our attention that several articles published in The Spectrum over the course of the spring 2003 semester contained unoriginal material that was not properly credited to its sources.
These articles included "A Guy Thing, A Bad Thing," "Love Out of a Lie," "'Basic'ally Lacking Talent," "A Journey to the Center of Dumb," "A Waste of 85 Minutes," and "Biker Boyz: Music From the Motion Picture."
We regret that this professional dishonesty led to improperly credited articles being published. The writer in question has been referred to the English Department for further investigation of the incidents.
The entire editorial staff strives to hold The Spectrum to the highest professional standards, and we will continue to do so in the future.
