Softball
For the second week in a row, a University at Buffalo athlete has earned the title of Mid-American Conference Female Athlete of the Week.
Ann Magur of the softball team had a field day in a doubleheader loss to the host Spartans at the San Jose State Invitational. She went 4-5 on the day with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.
Magur is a sophomore management major who currently holds a 3.83 GPA.
Nick Ziezula of the UB men's tennis team was announced as the MAC Player of the Week.
Ziezula, a co-captain on the team, went 3-1 in singles when Buffalo competed in Florida during spring break. He also posted an impressive 6-0, 6-0 beat down against Western Michigan's Erik Lindroos in the Bulls MAC opener on Tuesday.
In singles for the year, Ziezula holds a quality 14-10 record, while pairing with Randy Rocchio to go 10-4 in dual meets and 13-8 overall as Buffalo's tip doubles combination.
