Crew

UB won the prestigious Chancellors Cup for the second consecutive year at the SUNY Championship in Orchard Beach, N.Y. Sunday. The varsity eight, novice four, and novice eight squads each took first-place finishes while UB's varsity four entry placed third overall. Combined with UB's club men's team, the Bulls accumulated enough points to take the top spot. Buffalo will race at the New York state championships on May 4-5.

Softball

The Bulls spilt a doubleheader with local-rival Canisius on Tuesday afternoon at the UB Softball Field, winning game one 2-1 in 10 innings and losing the nightcap 9-3.

Buffalo pitcher Stacey Evans (2-7) got the win in the opener, throwing for all 10 innings and allowing one earned run while striking out 12.

Bulls pitcher Andrea Sage was a hard luck loser in game two. Sage went the distance, allowing all nine runs, only two of which were earned. UB committed four errors in the game. Allison Round and Ann Marie Magur each hit homeruns for Buffalo.

Tuesday's home doubleheader against Niagara was rescheduled for Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. due to the poor weather conditions.

Women's Tennis

The squad will start MAC tournament play today and continue through Sunday in Dekalb, Ill. Buffalo's record stands at 0-9 in the MAC and 2-15 overall. The Bulls enter the tourney as the No. 10 seed.
