Letter To The Editor

The Crimes of Clinton

With the Election of 2000, former President Bill Clinton was evicted from office by his boss, the people of the United States of America. He lied to us, he made a mockery of the presidency and he broke the law. In his most recent interview with Newsweek magazine, Clinton said that he would not give Marc Rich a pardon, if he had the chance to do it over again. He should have never given Rich a pardon in the first place. Rich owes the government over $48 million, making us honest taxpaying citizens pay more taxes. On top of that, Rich is a traitor.

During the hostage crisis of 1979, Rich illegally bought oil from Iran. He broke the law, and quite possibly endangered the lives of Americans throughout the world. Instead of going to court to face his crimes, Rich skipped town to a country that would protect him. He has lived quite comfortably off of his fortune in Switzerland, since 1983. Clinton gave this traitor a pardon, because Rich's ex-wife donated a lot of money to the Democratic Party and to Clinton's library fund. Rich is a traitor, and Clinton betrayed the American people by giving a traitor a free pass.

I have tickets to see Clinton speak, and I plan on using them. I would like to see if he will respond to the Rich situation, and other charges against him, or just cower away in his double speak as usual. When you are watching Clinton give his lecture, remember what this man has done. Remember his lies, his pardoning of a traitor and especially his disgraceful behavior as president. He let down the American people and we must not let him get away with his crimes.
