Relay for Life nets 50K for cancer research

It might have been the longest walk any of them had taken, but 700 students, faculty and community members teamed up to walk through the night Friday to raise money and awareness for cancer research.The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life - in its second year at UB - paid tribute to those who have lost their battles with cancer and provided a source of hope and support for those who continue to fight the disease.Last year the UB Relay for Life hosted 50 teams with 500 participants who raised a total of $50,000.
