Travis Scott’s new album has his fans singing and trapping to his infectious sound. His second studio album was released on Sept. 2, almost exactly a year after his first album Rodeo. With Scott headlining Fall Fest on Sept. 10, this album drop was perfect timing for UB students.
It’s been a long four years for Frank Ocean fans. His last album Channel Orange offered deep cuts of unrequited love as well as socially unforgiving love. His music was reflective of not only his emotions, but his sexuality, as he’s the only male in R&B to be open about his bisexuality.
The Student Association announced Monday that Travis Scott, Lil’ Yachty, Rae Sremmurd and D.R.A.M. will perform on Sept. 10.
The click of a jump rope, students exploding up and then landing for a jump squat, people huffing as they do jumping jacks – though it may seem like a scene out of the Alumni Arena gym, it isn’t. Instead it was in the Student Union Flag Room on Friday afternoon, where students exercised and raised money as part of the Fitness Expo.
On Tuesday, UB’s Student Association sent an e-mail to all students notifying them of the venue change for Spring Fest. The Chainsmokers, Mac Miller, Icona Pop and Coleman Hell were originally suppose to perform outdoors at Baird Point, but will now perform inside Alumni Arena.
SA has seen a lower turnout in the past couple of Spring Fests. This year’s concert on April 23 will feature The Chainsmokers, Mac Miller, Coleman Hell and Icona Pop.
The Hong Kong Student Association (HSA), in collaboration with the Taiwan Student Association (TSA), held a Chinese New Year’s celebration on Tuesday. About 60 people attended the celebration– eating, conversing amongst each other and playing pool from all types of backgrounds.
More than 200 students attended the welcome back celebration – a turnout that barely fit in 145 Student Union. The event allowed students who are outside the religion and culture to learn more about their Muslim peers, as both members of MSA and the general student body dined together and spoke about culture – creating a welcoming atmosphere for the first week back.
