Athletes in America are put on a pedestal. Sports are such a large part of the popular culture in this country that we hold these millionaires, not much older than anyone reading this, to a standard so high it takes away their ability to be a normal human being who makes mistakes.Michael Vick happens to be one of these human beings who made a mistake and is now paying for it.

Bulls fall in home finale

The Buffalo softball team wrapped up home play in 2007 by dropping a double-header on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to Mid-American Conference foe Kent State.Despite an extra day of rest thanks to a rain out on Saturday, the Bulls were unable to keep up with the Golden Flashes, losing by score of 10-0 and 5-1.In the afternoon's second game, the Bulls were able to keep it close before falling short in the end.Freshman pitcher Sharon Barr pitched a complete game for the Bulls, going seven strong innings, allowing five runs and striking out five."Sharon (Barr) had done a very good job as a freshman," said Bulls head coach Marie Curran.

Bulls win back to back over Broncos

It was only a matter of time before the Buffalo men's baseball team won a close game. The Bulls have lost six games this season but finally changed their fortune this weekend by taking two out of three games from Mid-American Conference foe Western Michigan.

Bulls earn a victory in Toledo

Rain, sleet or snow couldn't stop the Bulls men's baseball team from playing this weekend. While unseasonable weather has cancelled baseball games throughout the northeast, Mother Nature provided just enough relief for the Bulls to travel to Toledo, Ohio for a three game series with the Toledo Rockets.

Home runs unable to power Bulls

Through wind, rain, sleet or snow, this game was being played.After moving the start time up one hour Wednesday afternoon to avoid any chance of snow, the Buffalo baseball team took advantage of the windy conditions, but was unable to take down rival the Canisius Golden Griffins.

Bulls win one in extra innings

You can only have your heart broken so many times. Unable to pull out close games all season, the Buffalo baseball team knew it was only a matter of time before a close one went their way.
