Saving Lives Through Blood Donations

For every pint of blood donated, three lives are potentially saved. To help meet its constant need for the renewable live-saver, the Red Cross Blood Mobile was stationed in Hadley Village Wednesday to collect blood from the student turnout.

"Similar, Yet Not the Same: SUNY's University Centers"

Of SUNY's 64 campuses across New York State, the four university centers at Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo and Stony Brook offer the most complete education in terms of advanced research and professional educations.According to John Porter, a member of SUNY Central's Institutional Planning & Research Department, ranking the four central campuses would vary depending on a student's preferences.

EuroSim Team Debates Over EU in Czech Republic

While other students hit the slopes or caught up on daytime television over winter break, six UB students traveled to Eastern Europe to negotiate the admittance of new countries into the European Union.The students, sponsored by the Political Science Undergraduate Student Association, attended the EuroSim conference in the Czech Republic to grapple with issues currently facing the EU.EuroSim is the Transatlantic Consortium for European Studies and Simulation, where students gather to debate contemporary European politics.
