Online syllabi on verge of reality

The long-promised goal of an online course syllabi program from the Student Association is finally coming to fruition, with a preliminary program currently in place and the large-scale MyUB version scheduled to debut in January.There are currently 40 to 50 syllabi available online through MyUB.

Ripping up the floors

Just after moving into her Hadley apartment in August, Bonnie Benedict was told that she and her roommates had to move everything aside for their new carpets.That meant computers, books, suitcases, clothes, lamps, and chairs into the bathroom, into the kitchen, and onto any non-carpeted surface so the apartment's carpets could be replaced.

Students and officials deal with a goose of a problem

To many people, geese are harmless and nothing more than a nuisance at most, but for a number of students, the growing number of geese at UB has become a problem that interrupts daily life.Lou Schmitt, director of facilities operations, said he doesn't feel the geese are a danger, but it is a problem that they walk in clusters and inhibit the flow of traffic.Plus, there is the possibility that the geese droppings could create a health threat.
