The moment I saw "Macho King" Randy Savage obliterate the Ultimate Warrior's skull with his royal scepter, I was hooked.Pro wrestling, and the World Wrestling Federation (I refuse to say WWE) in particular, have long lauded Wrestlemania as the grand daddy of all wrestling events - and that may be true - but most hardcore wrestling fans know that January's once a year Royal Rumble is the real deal when it comes to Pay-Per-View events.When I first witnessed the Rumble back in 1991, I, of course, thought that professional wrestling was real.

Not content with living in the shadow of the Student Association Senate, Adam Sherlip, speaker of the SA Assembly, says he is doing everything in his power to boost the responsibility and relevance of the SA Assembly in his second semester as speaker."I think I've made more out of it than any Assembly speaker has," said Sherlip, a sophomore management major.

Recital Shares Greenberg's Faculty

Contemporary British piano composers are not at the forefront of most students' minds, but Music Department faculty member Jacob Greenberg proved Saturday that these composers can fill more than a few seats.Greenberg, who has performed as a piano soloist throughout the country and extensively in the Netherlands, presented a program of some of England's most promising contemporary composers in a recital at Slee Hall Saturday night.The program, which consisted of the recent work of composers Thomas Ades, George Benjamin and Harrison Birtwistle, was not a complete survey of contemporary British work, rather a sampling of Greenberg's favorite pieces.In 1998 Greenberg gave the U.S.

Downtrodden DJ Cancels Show

For the second time in as many attempts, world-renowned DJ Junior Vasquez was a no-show for his Student Association-sponsored performance at Sphere Entertainment Complex in downtown Buffalo -- this time because of distraught emotions and a bruised ego, according to officials.SA President George Pape said there will not be a third attempt to bring the DJ to Buffalo."I take things in a very business-like manner, and certain things, like breaking a contract, are completely unacceptable," said Pape.
