With the Mid-American Conference Tournament just a few days away, the women's basketball team traveled to Kent State for its final tune-up before tournament play begins.The Bulls, who will be the fifth seed in the East of the upcoming tournament, fell to the Golden Flashes in their final regular season game.

Bulls branded by Wolfpack

Traveling to Nevada was not a fun adventure for the Buffalo baseball team this past weekend. The Bulls lost the first two games against the Nevada Wolfpack while the third game was cancelled due to snow.Going into the match-up this weekend, the Wolfpack (6-9) had already played 13 games compared to only one for the Bulls (1-2). This playing experience played a major factor in the final outcomes of the results.

Despite an unexpected snowstorm wreaking havoc on the Niagara Falls/Grand Island area, the fans came in droves to watch Killswitch Engage, DragonFroce, Chimaira, and He Is Legend heat up the Dome Theater stage Sunday.Anticipation grew steadily throughout the night and as the lights finally dimmed for Killswitch's set, the bruised, beaten, and sweaty masses let out an immense roar.

The continued controversy around emergency contraception

Late last year a law was passed allowing emergency contraception - the morning after pill - to be available over the counter without a prescription to women over 18 years old, a decision that has been a revolution in female reproductive health according to campus medical officials.Female students on campus can now go to Michael Hall during pharmacy hours without an appointment for emergency contraception for $25, a fee significantly less than the $40 charged by off-campus pharmacies.Melissa Mitravich, a family nurse practitioner for Planned Parenthood of Western New York, is no stranger to the conflict that the FDA approved, over the counter drug has caused.
