While the name McLovin may resonate stronger than any other movie moniker from this past summer and the line "We could be that mistake!" promises to be repeated countless times, it would be wrong to forget what blockbusters came before-both better and worse.Moviegoers have to reach back well into May to find perhaps the most disappointing summer blockbuster-Spiderman 3.

Big Names On the Speaker Series List

Students of past years have seen a wide range of outspoken Distinguished Speakers; from former Vice President Al Gore to former Secretary of State Colin Powell to political pundit Ann Coulter, the diverse population of Buffalo students has been relatively pleased.However, this year's speakers, like last year's lineup, seem to be even more disregarding of the need for balance along the political spectrum.

Bulls fall in home finale

The Buffalo softball team wrapped up home play in 2007 by dropping a double-header on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to Mid-American Conference foe Kent State.Despite an extra day of rest thanks to a rain out on Saturday, the Bulls were unable to keep up with the Golden Flashes, losing by score of 10-0 and 5-1.In the afternoon's second game, the Bulls were able to keep it close before falling short in the end.Freshman pitcher Sharon Barr pitched a complete game for the Bulls, going seven strong innings, allowing five runs and striking out five."Sharon (Barr) had done a very good job as a freshman," said Bulls head coach Marie Curran.

Season ends for men's tennis

The dreams of a championship ended abruptly on Thursday afternoon for the men's tennis team.The Bulls were eliminated in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Championships, held in Fort Wayne Ind., as they fell to Northern Illinois by a score of 4-0.
