Bulls look to breakout in 2007

Since their season ended nine months ago the Bulls football team has waited patiently to strap the pads on and get back to the field.

As a critical introduction to college living, freshman orientation allows students the opportunity to make friends and learn their way around the labyrinth of campus buildings."The tour of the academic spine was the most helpful," said Adrienne Whittemore, a freshman pharmacy major.

There will be a few new faces wearing the blue and white this season, 14 in all, but make no mistake about it, the goals of the men's soccer team remain the same and that is to bring home a championship."We have been so close every year to winning a championship," said head coach John Astudillo.

Bulls stumble on the hard court

Hosting a tournament is a distinct advantage for most teams but not the Bulls volleyball team who were unable to shake off early season jitters, losing all three matches at the University at Buffalo Classic this past weekend.The first match for Buffalo (0-3) was Friday night against the Baylor Bears (2-1). The Bears swept the Bulls in three games 30-10, 30-18, 32-30.Three freshmen began their careers at Buffalo during the match including Lindsay Schlegel, who had 22 assists and had a match-high three service aces.
