Your editorial on the movement of the nuclear-armed missiles was likely well-intentioned, but was misinformed, as has been much of the national press coverage of this event.
So take everything we've worked so hard for and lay it to rest. I lack the time to waste my emotions on someone who truly didn't care.

As the old adage goes, "Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades." The Buffalo volleyball team learned the hard way Wednesday night that this motto does not apply to their sport. In a closely contested match between local rivals, the Purple Eagles, 3-2, in five games, defeated the Bulls.
I was living in Oakland, California when we began mapping plans for a "Women's Safe Space." It was to be a community space run entirely by women; an environment in which sexual tension and gender-related power dynamics had been dissolved; we would feel empowered while teaching and learning from other women; we could freely relate to each other about the common roadblocks and pitfalls of being female in a male-dominated world. The rules were only this: while men were welcome in the space, women controlled the decision-making process.
When Ashish Abraham took office as UB's new Student Association vice-president, the first thing he wanted to do was overhaul SA's "corrupt," wasteful and social elitist image.Starting with a fresh foundation and backed by a great supporting team, Abraham and his fellow elects sought to make this year's SA more caring and open to the students' needs on a club and academic level."This year SA will and should be held accountable for the promises and goals that were set up in the beginning of the year," Abraham said.As vice president, Abraham is first responsible for coordinating over 120 clubs and organizations, making sure that they follow all of the SA guidelines, including the required community-service projects that are mandatory for all SA clubs.According to Abraham, his responsibility also includes holding events that will engage a wide variety of students."It's important to me to create events that will engage not only the mainstream, but those who feel SA events aren't normally geared towards them," Abraham said.
UB's School of Management will recognize Louis P. Ciminelli, CEO of LPCiminelli Inc., as the 2007 Niagara Frontier Executive of the Year at its annual awards banquet on Nov.
In a meeting held early Thursday morning, the Student Association executive board and Fall Fest administrators decided to hold the coming Fest indoors in Alumni Arena instead of at Baird Point, citing a possibility of rain and storms."We can't gamble with students' money," said SA President Peter Grollitsch, who explained that rain on the electrical equipment was the primary cause of concern. He added that the artists refuse to perform in the rain but would still be paid regardless.According to Grollitsch, the beer tent and carnival are currently still planned for setup in the Slee lot.The change separates the tent from the main floor of the performance, increasing difficulties with distributing alcohol."We don't let intoxicated people in.
You didn't know about it, but last week there were six nuclear weapons flying high above your head.
Filmmaker Ken Marino is breaking whatever stone tablets Moses forgot about with The Ten, a new comedy from the hilarity team "The State.""(The Ten) is just a big, broad, silly, raunchy adult comedy," said Marino.

According to a recent study by LiveScience, about half of Americans dislike their jobs, and most of these unhappy employees are under 25 years old.In response to a statistic that looms over many students' post-graduation life, four University of Arizona graduates have created Pursue the Passion (PTP), a research project geared towards helping young people find happiness in the workforce."Our goal is to find out how you can be passionate about your career," said Brett Farmiloe, the group's founder.
With more one-liners than Leon Phelps, Shoot 'Em Up, starring Clive Owen (Children of Men) and Paul Giamatti (Lady in the Water), offers enough suave swooning to win over the prudest of fans.Owen plays Mr. Smith, a down-on-his-luck chap who gets caught up in the chase between a pregnant woman and a mysterious mob of hit-men gunning for her life. The opening scene does the film justice by delivering one of the more intense shoot-outs in recent memory.
One major goal of the UB 2020 Information Technology (IT) Transition is to do away with the old and make room for the new.
