Hard-knock life of music

Despite the many complaints that can be made about Buffalo, one grumble-proof facet remains: the prevalent culture of the Queen City. Dotted with downtown nightlife abuzz with fresh music and diverse performances, this cultural boom has given rise to many new faces of the local music scene. One of these most notable talents is Jay-O.

It is easy in a school this size to disappear. There is a potential for anonymity in a school of 30,000 that does not exist in smaller schools, and with that anonymity comes the potential for obliviousness; to your fellow students, to the school itself, to the events that shape us and the events we can shape ourselves.Good thing there's student journalism to help us out.President John B.

Working toward the future

Nearly 59 years ago, a group of students at the University at Buffalo came together for one cause - they wanted to deliver the news to their peers.

One eye over the shoulder

Constant circulation of warnings from the campus police and stories from students about crime on campus paint an image that has prompted mixed reactions. Many students who do not fear potential violence walk the same paths as those who question their personal safety every day.

I have never been good at goodbyes, just as I have never been great at making deadlines. It is my inner procrastinator, avoiding those certain days that just have to come.

Homeward bound

No more school, no more books, no more dirty looks from professors - with the last day of classes, students are now able to turn their thoughts to the move back home.
