Travel problems delay students

As spring breakers venture back from Panama City, Cancun or even the comfort of their own living rooms, the thought of having to go through the hassle of taking flights back to classes and jobs may seem uninviting.

Best bartender on Main Street

Whether he's your good luck charm on flip night or just serving you a brew after a bad day, Paul Coleman of Third Base sports bar, is a favorite bartender on Main Street.A graduate of Buffalo State College, Coleman started at Third Base over four years ago as a bouncer and quickly started working behind the bar."It's fun hanging out with people and basically throwing a party behind the bar," Coleman said.

Now it's time for students to get in the game by getting informed and registering to vote.According to the Rock the Vote Web site, students should know that they have the right to vote in the community in which they reside, whether at their college or home address.

A few UB students will be braving the Buffalo tundra this spring break, opting for charity and community rather than fun in the sun.The Leadership Development Center is still seeking a few ambitious volunteers for this year's alternative spring break program, "Give where you live."Students volunteering in the program will give back to the Buffalo community throughout spring break.

A world in which public radio doesn't exist is not a scene that WBFO, an affiliate of National Public Radio, hopes to ever see in Buffalo.According to the station's program director David Benders, WBFO's average listener is aged between 45 and 50.
