Workaholics Unanimous

When the worlds of illegal drugs, poop dollars, and fresh-outta-college troublemakers collide with corporate cubicles, the universe gives birth to Workaholics, a new Comedy Central show that airs Wednesday nights at 10:30 p.m. Spawning from the corruptively creative minds of Mail Order Comedy's Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders "Ders" Holm, and Kyle Newacheck, Workaholics is a scripted comedy series about three friends living together, working hard, and, more importantly, playing hard in the cruel realm of telemarketing. The show features characters named Blake, Adam and Ders, each played by themselves, and is directed by Newacheck and Chris Koch (Modern Family). Though the friends struggle with their drab jobs to put beer on the dinner table, they still manage to spread chaos and wreak havoc among those around them and have a blast while doing so. The chemistry between the cast members is impeccable, and, after being friends and comedic accomplices for over seven years, their calculated understanding of one another's humor is obvious. On a conference call, the jokesters described their inspiration for the show, what it took to get on TV, and what viewers can expect.

An Awakening of Spring and Spirit

Spring Awakening is truly an awakening for its characters and for the audience, adding a modern-day twist to a strict German society in the 1890s. Originally written as a play in 1891 by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening was revived as a musical by Duncan Sheik (music) and Steven Sater (book and lyrics) when it hit Broadway in 2006.

"Full Percussion Section, Two Feet"

A Latin percussion section usually takes a large compilation of instruments, but for legendary tap dancer Savion Glover, it takes only two ? his feet. Hundreds of dance fans flooded the CFA Thursday night to watch the production of Solo In Time and to see "the greatest tap dancer who ever lived" take the dance floor. The entire performance was designed to capture the essence of the "flamenco" theme as Glover strived to "allow one to hear the dance versus see the dance," a message he spread frequently throughout the night. Glover's tap shoes were the basis for the numerous percussive sounds generated in the flamenco, echoing the rhythms of Latin percussion.

Batman: The Dark Knight No. 2 Bats has taken to the streets to find a Lohan-esque socialite that goes by the ludicrous name of Dawn Golden, and while the plot of this issue manages to capture a rage-filled vigilante, it is a few tools short of a utility belt. David Finch writes with incredible purpose and vision, and he does so in a way that is attempting to recreate Batman in a new, harsher tone.
