UB student turns ambition into clothing company

Partially Normal Clothing Company started off as a joke, but soon turned into a business. UB student Brendan Cox, a junior economics major, his brother Evan Cox, and Ryan Thompson, an integrated marketing communications major at John Carroll University, were hanging out when they thought of starting their own business. The idea of starting a clothing company was a conversation over winter break that later turned into reality.

It’s that time of year again – the turn from September to October marks the beginning of a lot of fall festivities. However, fall doesn’t mark the end of summer’s wide range of concerts to attend. This week we have rock stars, a jazz group and other multi-genre artists stopping by the Buffalo area to perform. Forget the outdoor activities for a moment and head indoors to see some great live artists.


The Montreal Tower holds the record for the world’s tallest structure at an incline. It is one of many attractions Canada has to offer for UB students.

While at UB, many students have gotten the opportunity to go to Canada for a “staycation.” If Buffalo doesn’t quench your thirst for fun weekend activities, Canada is always a great opportunity to have a night out on the town with your friends.

UB alumnus manages production of 'Finding Neverland'

Buffalo will be the first stop for the musical “Finding Neverland” as it embarks on a national tour fresh off a run on Broadway. On Wednesday, the load-in process was in high gear as backgrounds, lights and props for “Finding Neverland” were rolled onto the 90-year-old theater’s stage.


Sunday night Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 68th annual Emmy Awards. This year's pool of award winners was the most diverse to date.

UB says diversity is the real winner at the Emmys

Christian Pierce, a senior economics and political science double major, said that it’s about time that a big awards show celebrates real diversity. Compared to other shows throughout history like the Grammys, the Emmys seem to have stepped it up in having a more diverse list of nominees.
