The 2010 Student Association senate election winners have been announced. Yanco Escano, a junior business major, received the most votes for on campus senate while Autumn Shaffer, a sophomore undecided major, lead the way off campus. James Gibbons was the only candidate elected not from the Vote 4Us Party.

Well, we're wrapping up the semester here at UB, and like every year, all the sports - college and professional - seem to dull down just in time for finals.

In Friday's issue, a voter registration graphic ran on the front page of the Spectrum that contained only a logo for John Kerry and John Edwards. In its original version the graphic contained a logo for the Bush/Cheney campaign as well, but due to a technical error, the logo did not appear.
Once again, it is time for The Spectrum's "Sharpest Point." Only this isn't the same Sharpest Point that you remember from last semester. In this edition, 16 members of The Spectrum staff - ranging from arts editors to sports staff writers - will be involved in a single elimination tournament with one match taking place each Friday from here on out.
This is it. The culmination of a season-long war between the sports editors at the Spectrum comes to head in today's final installment of The Sharpest Point for the fall semester.
John Norman bounced Corey Griswold from the first playoff match up last week, and now it comes down to Jim Byrne and Darren Riethmiller as they vie for the other slot in next week's Sharpest Point super bowl.
