Basketball open practice to be held

On Saturday, Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. both the Buffalo men's and women's basketball teams will hold an open practice at Alumni Arena.

Fans will be welcome to come by after the football game and watch both teams begin to practice for their upcoming seasons.

Cold Stone donations to go to UB Athletics

Donation proceeds will go to the University at Buffalo Athletics from the ice cream sales at the opening of the new Cold Stone Creamery on Maple Road next to Sweet Home Middle School.

The grand opening is on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

MAC football games to be televised

On Saturday, two Mid-American Conference match-ups will be aired on television. When Northern Illinois visits Western Michigan at 2 p.m. the game can be seen on Time Warner Channel-13.

Buckeye CableSystem Sports Network will televise Eastern Michigan at Bowling Green in the Toledo, Ohio area on the same day at 4 p.m. Future MAC member Temple will play on Thursday night on ESPNU versus Clemson at 7:30 p.m.
