Starks named MAC East Co-Player of the Week

Bulls running back James Starks was named a Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for his efforts against Toledo on Saturday. The sophomore rushed for a career-high 231 yards and scored three touchdowns in Buffalo's 43-33 victory.

Starks has rushed for 611 yards this season. His 12 touchdowns are best in the MAC and are tied for fifth in the nation.

This is the second consecutive week Starks has earned the honor. This week, Starks also earned a "helmet sticker" on College Football Final on ESPN.

Athletes of the Week

Amy Coron, the goaltender of the women's soccer team, and James Starks were named Buffalo Bulls Athletes of the Week. Coron stopped 10 shots to earn the shutout in the Bulls' 1-0 win over Bowling Green on Saturday. It was her second shutout of the season. She also had eight saves against Toledo on Friday. Her 90 saves is the best in the MAC and she ranks third in the conference in saves per game (6.43 average per match).
