With so many months spent on campus dealing with icy sidewalks and unplowed parking lots, it's only natural to spend your weekends on the slopes finding the perfect winter experience.
But if you're not from the area, it's hard to find a good snowboard/ ski shop without a little testing (that is unless you're reading this right now).
Located on 245 South Transit Road, Snowflake Ski Shop and 245 Snowboard shop pride themselves on not only keeping large selection of skis, snowboards, and a few snow skates, but also on their very knowledgable staff.
The ski shop is located on the ground floor and 245 Snowboard shop in the basement, both shops provide excellent customer service for anyone who is just beginning to more experienced riders.
Walking into either shop and talking to any of the workers, it's easy to tell that these people eat, breathe, and sleep Buffalo winters like no other group in Buffalo.
Along with their personable staff, it's hard to find a shop with a better selection of quality products. Other shops might have more skis and snowboards, but no one could argue with the fact that Snowflake and 245 only sell the absolute best skis, and boards.
Snowflake has been around for 32 years; it's not hard to figure out why both shops are concerned more about making you feel comfortable on the mountain than just selling you expensive garbage you'll find at any of the other shops around the area.
South Transit might be a bit of a drive, but if you are really dedicated to finding a great place to get a snowboard or a pair of skis, Snowflake/ 245 is your one-stop, stop and shop.
From the friendly, knowlegdable staff to the great products, 245 Snowboard Shop and Snowflake Ski Shop is easily the best Ski/Snowboard shop in Western New York.
