Seniors Reggie Rucker of the men's track team and Miglena Nenova of the women's tennis team have been named Athletes of the Week.

Rucker set his second track and field record of the season while competing in the 55-meter hurdles at Penn State's Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup. He finished in second place with a time of 7.33 seconds, improving his NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

Nenova paced the women's tennis team in its victory over the Syracuse Orange on Friday. She posted a 6-3, 6-0 win over Olga Votavova, the 28th ranked player in the East. She improved her record to 8-2 on the season and is 4-0 in dual meets.

Turner named MAC East Player of the Week

This is Turner's first time receiving this recognition this year and the third time for her career. In posting a pair of 15-point performances this week, she led the team to two victories over Western Michigan and Central Michigan.

She is currently one point shy of reaching the career scoring mark of 1,000 points. She will become the 16th player in school history to do so.

Also, Turner is ranked seventh in the nation in field goal percentage with a 61.5 percent mark from the field.

The Mid-American Conference will be represented in a televised basketball game on Bracket Buster weekend. The Ohio Bobcats will travel to Las Cruses, N.M. to challenge the New Mexico State Aggies in a midnight game that will be televised on ESPN2.
