The 6th annual Dining Out For Life event will be held Tuesday, April 29 at over 100 local restaurants in Western New York.
Restaurant patrons will have 25 percent or more of their bill donated to AIDS Community Services of Western New York and AIDS Family Services.
"Dining Out For Life is an international event produced in cities all around North America," said Colden Ray, special events coordinator with Dining Out For Life. "All of the money raised stays here in our community."
According to Ray, this year's goal is to raise $100,000. Popular student eateries will be participating in this year's event, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Chef's Restaurant, Cole's Restaurant, Ilio DiPaolo's, May Jen Chinese Restaurant and Pizza Plant (Main Street location only).
"We have over 100 restaurants participating in all counties," Ray said. "All sales, excluding alcohol, will have a percentage of the proceeds donated."
Dining Out For Life expects a turnout of over 20,000 patrons to attend the event Tuesday night, according to Ray. Diners are also eligible for prizes.
"It's a great way to give back to the community," Ray said. "All you have to do is go out to dinner."
