2008 Football Opponents
The Buffalo Bulls have confirmed that they will open next season on August 28 against the University of Texas El Paso. The Bulls will also travel to Big XII opponent the Missouri Tigers. Buffalo is supposed to play against Colgate, a division I-AA school, but the school is trying to get out of that game. There are preliminary talks with Syracuse to play the Orange again next year.
Sabres lose first preseason game
The Sabres have begun their journey to another Stanley Cup run, losing 4-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night in their first preseason game of the season. Clarke MacArthur scored the only goal for the Sabres. Buffalo's free-agent signing Jocelyn Thibault made 18 saves in the loss. The regular season doesn't begin until October 5 against the New York Islanders.
