Showing the most UB school spirit may win you a free trip home this Thanksgiving, courtesy of Jet Blue Airways.
Jill Huelser and Shawn Baisley, UB students and brand representatives for Jet Blue airways are having a give away this Wednesday, Nov. 14th on the ground floor of Capen Hall, near Capen Caf?(c) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They will host games and other fun activities for passing students and while giving away a bounty of treats, including food, one hundred $5 Dunkin Donut gift cards, two tickets to the Bills game on Nov. 18th, and vouchers for a free round trip flight for the two students showing the most school spirit.
"We will be giving away flight vouchers to the two students dressed in the most blue as a way to show UB pride," Huelser said.
According to Huelser, Jet Blue targets college students at UB since they offer low fare air travel and flights to many destinations where students frequent, such as New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Jet Blue also has many features that make it favorable for college students.
"You have your own TV with 36 channels of Direct TV, 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio, unlimited snacks and the most leg room in coach,"
Huelser also noted that Jet Blue has many opportunities for students to win free flight vouchers and other goodies.
"Up to this point we have had three other events on campus and have given away four vouchers for round rip flights," she said.
Huseler encourages anyone passing through Capen Hall to stop by and get a treat or a prize.
"It's something that's different and fun," she said. "Why not stop by and try to win a free round trip ticket worth up to $700."
