A new standard of living is coming fall 2008. Villas at Chestnut Ridge features lavish three story town home villas, resort style facilities, and pleasing top end customer service. Villas at Chestnut Ridge is owned and professionally managed by American Campus Communities.
"The Villas have a great location approximately 6/10 of a mile from the UB North Campus on Chestnut Ridge Road, just off of Sweethome Road," said Michael Cipriano, Vice President/Property Marketing of the Villas at Chestnut Ridge.
According to Cipriano the Villas community center and model unit will be open in mid January 2008. Students will be able to take a tour of the amenities and model unit at that time. Construction of the community will be completed in the summer of 2008. The Villas will be open for occupancy in August 2008, just before the fall semester begins.
"Students may apply online at our Web site at www.chestnutridgevillas.com. They can also visit our leasing center, which is now open in the UB Commons in suite 205 across from the Student Union. Students may apply at the leasing center, or at our other great student community, University Village at Sweethome, located less than .6 miles from campus on Sweethome Road," Cipriano said.
According to Cipriano accommodations are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis when the lease agreement is returned. University Village at Sweethome residents have a priority period to apply for accommodations at the Villas at Chestnut Ridge until November 30, 2007.
According to Cipriano all units include private bedrooms and private bathrooms. The units are fully furnished, include full kitchens with all black appliances, have faux-hardwood floors, carpeting and include gas, water, sewer, cable, high speed internet and an exclusive free shuttle service to and from the UB North Campus.
"The Villas offer extensive resort style amenities such as an 8,000 square foot community center with a 2,700 square foot fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, and tanning beds, plus a social lounge, Xbox live game room, computer center, game room and an outdoor sun deck with hot tub, fireplaces and plenty of lounge chairs," Cipriano said.
According to Cipriano, the Villas residents will have access to the Sweethome amenities. Such facilities include the swimming pool, indoor sport court, fitness center, game room, and theater room.
According to Cipriano, the lease start date is August 22, 2008 through August 3, 2009. Accommodations at the Villas start at $622.00 per month, per resident for the four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms three-story town home. One bedroom with one bathroom, one bedroom with deluxe bathroom, two bedrooms with two and a half bathrooms are also available. A full listing of the rates and prices can be found on the Web site at www.chestnutridgevillas.com.
"The Villas at Chestnut Ridge offers three story Town homes, all with private bedrooms and private bathrooms and with no one living above or below you, it is truly a unique student living experience," Cipriano said.
According to Cipriano, the Villas at Chestnut Ridge are designed specifically for student living. Each unit consists of a private bedroom and private bathroom accommodation, leased by the bed on an individual liability basis, just like on-campus housing. Parental guarantors are required on each student lease. While non-students cannot be prohibited by fair housing laws, the community's design and by the bed leasing facilitates it being an exclusive student community. "I have already applied for my spot in the Villas at Chestnut Ridge. I live at University Village at Sweethome now and with not much of a difference in rent per month, I would rather live in a new enhanced standard of living," said Kara Goldman, a junior nursing student.
