My name is Daniel Hall and I am the Residence Hall Association president. On the opinion page of the Nov. 10 edition of The Spectrum, the editorial "Flint CAs Fired for Attending Party" and the accompanying cartoon depict "RHA" as University Residence Halls and Apartments (URH+A).
The Residence Hall Association is the on-campus resident government and is in no way associated with the hiring or firing of CAs, RAs or AAs, aside from writing letters of recommendation.
This is not the first occurrence of RHA's name being used in place of URH+A or URH. I ask that in the future, The Spectrum would be more careful when using acronyms in any article. I am writing this note now so that in the future this mix up will not occur.
