Women's Tennis Advances

The Buffalo women's tennis team saw victory during the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, PA. The Flight "A" doubles team of sophomore Denise Harijanto and freshman Diana Popescu advanced to the finals to take on Bucknell. The Flight "B" team of freshman Jenelle Jones-Mitchell and sophomore Diana Toia defeated Villanova to set up their finals match against Duquesne. Five Bulls also reached the semi-final round in singles play. Seniors Andreea Novaceanu, Smaranda Stan and Tina Jacob, Toia, and Jones-Mitchell will all try to advance in their respective flights. Semifinal and final action was scheduled to take place on Sunday but finished too late for this edition.
