UB will begin processing direct-deposit fee refunds on the week of May 4 and students will see refunds within two business days, according to a Thursday email from Student Accounts.

Students without direct deposit will receive refund checks after they’re mailed the week of May 11.

According to the email, UB will refund campus housing, dining, athletic, campus life, recreation, student activity and campus life fees based on students’ enrollment. Students can find their calculated credit amount on UB’s Student Accounts website.

The news follows Wednesday’s meal plan refund announcement

Student Accounts is only issuing credits for courses where the fee cost has not been replaced by other cost “components,” or for labs which can be completed in the future.

UB will not refund tuition, according to the email, because classes are still ongoing through distance learning. As of April 1, UB has rescinded late payment fees for March and April and will not place holds on student accounts with outstanding spring-semester balances.
