Trick-or-treat at some of Buffalo's night events

For a chance to win cash prizes for an outrageous costume, an opportunity to have a fun night on the town and the ability to celebrate Halloween for a good price, check out the events below.

Nightmare on Allen Street

Mulligan's Brick Bar is hosting "Nightmare on Allen Street" on Thursday, Oct. 31. This place is often busy, so if you're looking for a crowd, this is the place to be. There will be Absolut drink specials and people can have their photos taken on the Absolut Red Carpet from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. There is no cover charge, and there will be free parking for the night, according to the bar's Facebook page. Mulligan's is located on 229 Allen St.

4th Annual Monsters Ball Halloween party

Just a little further down Allenis Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar (DBGBs). If you're looking for a different atmosphere and a chance to win money, Duke's will be having its annual Halloween party from 9 p.m. until close. There will be cocktail contests, a beer blowout and a $500 cash prize for the best costume, according to Duke's website. It is also featuring some of Buffalo's best DJs, including Charlie the Butcher (not the restaurant) and Drop D. If you're not looking to be in the party scene all night, you can also get food from the patio after 11 p.m. Duke's is located on 253 Allen St.

Halloween party & costume contest at Military Tavern

One of Buffalo's newest bars urges people to come in for a chance to win a few Halloween treats. Located on Military Avenue, Military Tavern will have drink specials along with dance and top 40 music. First place for best costume will receive $500 in cash, while second and third place receive a $100 and $50 bar tab prize, respectively. Military Tavern is located on 150 Military Ave.

Red Bull Beggars Night Party

The Bend on Allen Street is also having a Halloween party that features costumes, prizes and live entertainment on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The bar will be having DJs for the night and is also expected to have a few bands, such as Rukkus, perform, according to its Facebook page. Starting at 10 p.m., beverages include $3.75 vodka drinks, $2 shots and Red Bull specials for the entire night. The Bend is located on 256 Allen St.
