Duvall to star in Wasko biopic
Paramount Pictures announced on Friday that Academy Award winner Robert Duvall is set to star in Martin Scorsese's new film based on the life of Buffalo Athletic Communications Assistant Ted Wasko. Iron Fist: The Ted Wasko Story is set to begin filming in May and on location in Los Angeles, Montreal, and Prague.
The movie tells the tale of Wasko's rise to fame from a young cattle rancher in Wyoming to the most powerful man in the Buffalo Athletic Communications office. To convey the true sense of what it is like to be Ted Wasko, the film will only be shown in theaters on weekdays from 9 a.m. until noon.
The movie will also star Ed Harris as Paul Vecchio, Bob Saget as Jon Fuller, Matthew Fox as Paul Hokanson, Miley Ray Cyrus as Jackie O'Brien, Frankie Muniz as Brian Wolff, Reginal VelJohnson as Warde Manuel, and Jeremy Reid as himself.
Smiley to join AND 1 Streetball Tour
Sophomore guard Sean Smiley of the men's basketball team has been invited to join the AND 1 Streetball team this summer. Smiley will take the place of fan favorite Grayson "The Professor" Boucher, was kicked off the tour after being accused of stealing the spotlight from teammate Troy "Escalade" Jackson.
If Smiley impresses AND 1 officials, he may be offered a full-time spot on the tour. Smiley's ballin' new nickname will be chosen by fan voting at http://www.and1.com/voteforthewhiteguy beginning on April 23.
