Classic: Seven Years in Tibet (1997)

One of the most underappreciated films of the '90s, Brad Pitt gives a flawed, yet interesting performance as Heinrich Harrer, a real life Austrian mountain climber who formed a relationship with the young Dalai Lama just before the Chinese takeover of Tibet.

Current: Vajra Sky Over Tibet (2006)

Directed by UB alumnus John Bush, this documentary strays from analyzing the political strife within the region, instead focusing on the beauty of the terrain and the devoutness the Tibetan people have to their traditions and their faith.
