Fred Reed named defensive backs coach
Turner Gill has announced that Fred Reed has joined the football staff as the team's defensive backs coach. Reed brings 14 years of coaching experience to Buffalo, most recently as a defensive assistant safeties coach with the NFL's Detroit Lions. He spent two years there.
Reed also has experience in the Mid-American Conference, spending the 2005 season with the Ohio Bobcats. He coached the cornerbacks and the punt return team.
"We are blessed to have him on our staff," Gill said in a press release. "He is a tremendous teacher and knows how to get student-athletes to perform in the classroom and on the field."
