Clothing for a cause

The UB Reads Clothing Drive began on Monday, Dec. 3 and will continue through Friday, Dec. 7.

The drive, hosted by the Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement will benefit Viva La Casa refugee services.

"Viva La Casa is an organization based out of Buffalo that provides food, shelter, clothing, health care and legal service for refugees," explained Terri Frysh, community engagement coordinator for the Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement.

The clothing will also go toward helping the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which is UB's designated charity for the year.

According to Frysh, slightly used clothing of all sizes is welcome and can be dropped off at several designated donation boxes all over campus.

Drop-off locations include the Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement at 235 Student Union, Wellness Education Services at 114 Student Union, Campus Ministry Office at 227 Student Union, the Center for Tomorrow, Capen Undergraduate Library and Lockwood Memorial Library.
