Football game against Syracuse to be on ESPNU
The Oct. 20 football game between Buffalo and Syracuse will be televised nationally on ESPNU. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
The game marks the third time the Bulls have been on television this year. The first televised game was on the Madison Square Garden Network for the opener against Rutgers (8/30). The game against Penn State was televised nationally on the Big Ten Network (9/15).
After rushing for a career-best 183 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday, running back James Starks has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Co-Player of the Week. He shares the honor with wide receiver Jabari Arthur of Akron.
Starks had a career-high 36 carries in the Bulls' 31-10 win over MAC rival Ohio. His 183 yards and total carries set the school's Division I-A records in a single game for each category. Starks is the fourth Bull to earn MAC honors this season.
In its first meet of the season at the Head of the Genesee Regatta on Sunday, the Bulls varsity eight boat rowing team took home a third place finish out of 35 boats. It was the second straight year the Bulls have secured the bronze medal in that competition.
An all-freshman boat finished fifth out of 13 boats in the Open Four race to secure Buffalo's other top five finish. The rowing team's next meet is on Oct. 20 and 21 for the Head of the Charles in Boston, MA.
