Veith earns All-MAC Honors
\tBulls junior cross country runner Mary Veith was named to the All-Mid-American Conference first team last weekend with her third place finish at Cross Country Championships in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
\tVeith finished third among 104 runners from all 12 MAC schools with a time of 17:48 in the 5K race. The top seven finishers earned First Team All-MAC honors. This is the second straight season Veith has earned the honor. The Bulls finished 12th in the competition.
Newton named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week
\tWith an interception and nine tackles in BuffaloOs win over Akron on Saturday, sophomore Mike Newton was named Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week. In defensive coverage, Newton helped hold Zips receiver Jabari Arthur, ranked 10th in the nation in receiving, to just 39 yards. Newton leads the Bulls with four interceptions and seven passes defended and is second on the team with 64 tackles.
