An advertising campaign in favor of medical marijuana began today according to The Buffalo News. Local resident Joel Peacock will appear in the commercial in favor of limited legalization, as a result of his severe pain from an automobile crash injury.
New York State has already started a movement towards legalization with a June 13 assembly vote 95-52 in favor of of a bill that would legalize marijuana for medical use.
According to the DEA, California allows for the domestic growing of reefer without regulation - instead the state leaves it up to local governments to limit cultivation. And some counties don't even do that.
Sonoma County, for example, allows patients to own up to 99 plants and three pounds of dried marijuana. If a doctor recommends, patients in dire medical situations can own even more.
