Athletes of the Week
Senior punter Ben Woods was named the male athlete-of-the-week. Woods averaged 44 yards per punt in Buffalo's first game against Rutgers. Out of his seven punts, only one was returned. Three of his kicks were downed within the 20-yard line. Last year, Woods averaged 37.9 yards per punt and a career-best 13 inside the 20 yardline.
Senior Lizaiha Garcia was named the female athlete-of-the-week. Garcia broke a Bulls volleyball record for most digs in a career at Buffalo. She had a season-high 22 digs to help Buffalo beat South Florida. Garcia also recorded 20 digs against Albany to help her earn all-tournament honors for the Western New York Invitational.
Bullseye show is back
The Buffalo athletics television show, Bullseye, is returning to Time Warner Cable 13. The show will recap previous athletic events and preview upcoming games. There will also be feature presentations with interviews from players and coaches. The show will air from now until mid-March following every team at Buffalo. The show can be seen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 p.m. on Fridays, and 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
