Gill announces two deep roster
Head
football coach Turner Gill has released his two-deep roster prior to spring training in August. The roster will bring back seven starters including quarterback Drew Willy, safety Karen Byrom and running back James Starks.
Other notable stats from the roster, Naaman Roosevelt is slated to back up Willy at quarterback, Bret Hamlin will start at wide receiver after most of last year and Earnest Jackson beat out Terrance Breaux for at the other starting wide out position.
Turner to attend NCAA leadership conference
Junior Ashley Turner of the women's soccer team has been selected to attend a leadership conference in Orlando, Fla. The conference brings together student-athletes to build leadership skills to be used on their campus and within their community.
