Vance sweeps conference awards

Sarah Vance of the track and field team was named the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete and the Field Athlete of the Week.

At the UB Open over the weekend, Vance won the hammer throw, the shot put, and the discus, and established career second-bests in each event. Central Michigan softball pitcher Ali Pettit was also named Scholar Athlete of the week

Vescio named to A.N. Meyer's Wall of Distinction

Women's soccer player Andrea Vescio was one of five inductees into the A.N. Meyer Secondary School Athletes' Wall of Distinction. Vescio's class is the first class to be elected.

The group was selected based on exceptional athletic careers stretching over the past four decades. Vescio set the school record for most points in a season as a senior and was named the school's Female Athlete of the year all four years.
