Women's Tennis players honored by MAC
After its phenomenal season with a record of 15-2 and 6-1 in the Mid-American Conference, the women's tennis team picked up four honors from the MAC.
Senior Miglena Nenova was named first-team All-MAC for the third time in her career and has earned league recognition for all four seasons of her career at Buffalo. Junior Andrea Novaceanu was selected to the second-team All-MAC squad and freshman Denise Harijanto earned her first selection with a spot on the All-MAC Second Team. Senior Katrin Fischer was named the league's recipient of the LeAnn Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award.
Bashor named head coach of men's swimming & diving
Andy Bashor, the current head coach of the women's swimming and diving team, will take over for the men's squad as announced by athletic director Warde Manuel. Bashor will have added duties but will have new support as, Buffalo plans to add an assistant coach on the men's side as well as a graduate assistant. The entire staff will work with both the men's and women's teams. Next season will mark the start of Bashor's second season at Buffalo.
