Nenova wins MAC Player of the Week

Miglena Nenova of the women's tennis team was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. It is Nenova's second selection this season and third for her career.

This past week Nenova went a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles play. The senior registered wins against Miami (Ohio) and Ball State in singles competition and teamed with senior Natalie Dean for doubles victories as well.

NLL names two Bandits players of the week

Buffalo Bandits John Tavares and Mark Steenhuis were announced as National Lacrosse League players of the week. Tavares was named Offensive and Overall Player of the Week and Steenhuis was named Transition Player of the Week.

Tavares tied his career-high of 13 points in a 19-15 Bandits victory over Colorado this weekend. Steenhuis picked up seven loose balls in the same game as well as scoring twice and chipping in three assists.
