Idbihi named to NABC Division I All-District Team

Senior forward Yassin Idbihi was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District Second Team. With the selection, Idbihi is eligible to be selected to the NABC Division I All-American Team.

Idbihi was one of 150 student-athletes selected from 15 districts. He is currently third in the Mid-American Conference in scoring with 15.8 points per game and leads the conference in rebounding with 9.6 rebounds a game. Akron's Romeo Travis was the only other MAC player selected.

Meili Carpenter named to All-MAC Team

Freshman diver Meili Carpenter was selected to the women's swimming and diving All-MAC second team. In her first year on the team, Carpenter set the Buffalo record in the three-meter board event with 321.75 earlier this season against Canisius.

At the 2007 MAC Championships, she finished second in the one-meter board event with a six-dive total of 280.70. Carpenter also scored 273.10 in the three-meter board event and finished fifth.
