UB announces Class of 2011
Women's soccer head coach Jean-A Tassy announced Thursday three members of the 2011 class who will join the team in 2007.
Tassy signed defender/midfielder Martina Pettenuzzo from Arlington Heights, Illinois and twin sisters defender/midfielder Kristen Bailey as well as midfielder Lindsey Bailey from Burlington, Ontario.
Track athletes named to Academic All-MAC team
Six student-athletes from the men and women's indoor track and field team have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team.
Senior Andy Leonard, sophomore Jake Madonia and senior Paul Riley were named from the men's team and senior Sarah Vance, junior Tina Villa and sophomore Mary Veith were selected for the women's team.
UB seeks Hall of Fame nominations
The athletic department announced that nominations are being accepted for the next class of inductees into the UB Athletic Hall of Fame.
The deadline for submission is June 2, 2007 and the honorees will be celebrated during homecoming weekend at the Hall of Fame recognition dinner.
Alumni Arena to host Relay for Life
The 22nd annual Relay for Life will be held at Alumni Arena on March 23 through March 24. The event is designed to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.
