When will it end?!
Why are people always picking on White House leaders?
How is it that a court of law could have the audacity to even think of convicting anyone affiliated with the Bush Administration - especially someone working under Vice President Dick Cheney.
It was announced Tuesday that everyone's favorite White House aide - Cheney's (former) Chief of Staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby - was convicted of "lying" to a grand jury and the FBI regarding the leak of the name of an undercover CIA agent.
Apparently, a couple of conversations with the press and some "lapsed memories" are worth up to 30 years in prison.
Thankfully, Libby wasn't scooted right from the courtroom to the jail cell (like common people would be).
Instead, he's out on his own until his sentencing on June 5.
That should give Libby enough time to tie up all of his loose ends, get his affairs in order, kiss his wife goodbye and get in one last well-earned vacation before he begins a luxury stay in a swanky prison getaway.
That is, of course, unless he changes his reservations.
Being the scapegoat of the Bush Regime, maybe Scooter would be happier getting out of town for a while. Somewhere fresh, somewhere fun... somewhere that doesn't extradite.
If Jules Verne can make it "around the world in 80 days," surely Libby can make it at least halfway.
We hear Switzerland is nice this time of the year.
