Athletes of the Week named
The track and field team swept the Athletes of the Week with junior Rayshon Higgins and senior Patrice Coney garnering this week's honors.
Higgins recorded his third Mid-American Conference Championship in the triple jump on Friday by posting a distance of 49-feet 9-inches in his last attempt to successfully defend his indoor title. Higgins also holds the current outdoor MAC Championship for the triple jump.
Coney also recorded a victory at the MAC Championships, taking the pentathlon title with 3,677 points. The effort also bested her school record. Although she won no individual events, she turned in solid efforts in each event, including a second-place in the 800-meter run and a fourth-place in the 60-meter hurdles.
Upshaw at the NFL Scouting Combine
Former Bulls tight end Chad Upshaw will be competing at the NFL Scouting Combine this week. He will be competing in drills and activities against collegiate standouts from across the nation to increase his possible draft position.
The NFL Combine will conclude on Wednesday evening. Upshaw's football future will be determined on April 28th and 29th during the NFL Draft in New York City.
Snow forces Bulls to play doubleheader, in Nevada...
With the Bulls baseball team stuck in Reno, Nevada the team looked to get in an additional game Monday. However an abnormal snowstorm in the desert caused the games to be delayed and played in a double header on Tuesday afternoon.
